WILLINGHAM ENTERTAINERS

Over the years there have been many villagers who have come together to create a social event for the entertainment of others. These have included shows, plays, pantos and dances. Most have been in the Village Hall but other events held have been held at the playing field and around the village.

Although not active at the moment there is expertise on hand if you would like to create your own event. The hire of the village hall is reasonably priced and there is a stage with good lighting available. There are still costumes and props in storage and we're sure some of our old hands can be dragged out of retirement to help you achieve your aim.

If you have an idea for an event and need support, contact this website and we'll put you in touch with someone who can give you more details of what is possible.

A note for your calendars! Willingham-by-Stow Play – November 2017
‘DJ Alan’s Big Nite Out’, a comedy written by Rebecca Andrews will be performed over 4 nights on 17/18 & 24/25 November. This has been extended from the usual three nights which generally sells out. If you have been to any of Rebecca’s earlier efforts you will know what a great night’s entertainment this has proven to be.  The cast are all local, the play is in three acts with breaks for food. Full details including prices and how to obtain tickets, will be provided in the September magazine but for now, please make a note on your calendars and tell your friends.

"Trouble at Willingham Abbey" was a huge success.
Written by Rebecca Andrews, the show was a sell out for all three nights.
Profit from the event will enable us to take children to Postrelmov in the Czech Republic
